Malagueta Pepper is a type of chilli pepper native to Brazil and is widely used in Brazilian cuisine. It has a unique flavor, with notes of tropical fruits, and a mild heat level that makes it suitable for a variety of dishes. The peppers are small, round, and bright red. They have a crunchy texture and are typically eaten raw or cooked in dishes.
Malagueta Pepper is also an ingredient in many seasoning blends and sauces. It adds a pleasant kick of heat and a unique flavor that enhances the taste of any dish. It's often used in Brazilian dishes such as feijoada, moqueca, and vatapa, but is also popular in many countries worldwide.
The plant grows well in warm climates and is easy to cultivate in your garden. It requires full sun and well-drained soil. The plants are small and bushy, reaching a height of around two feet. They are easy to care for and produce a good yield of fruit.
The plant is drought tolerant and doesn't require a lot of water to survive. It will produce more peppers if watered regularly during dry periods. The fruits are ready to harvest when they are bright red and firm.
