Dichondra is a beautiful evergreen perennial plant that is native to many parts of the world. It is a low growing, prostrate plant that forms thick mats of small, rounded leaves. The leaves are green on top with a silver underside, giving the plant a two-tone appearance. The leaves are typically 1-2 inches in diameter and can be used as a ground cover.

The seeds of the Dichondra plant are small, round, and black. They are a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, iron, calcium, and magnesium. They are often used in salads and soups, and can also be roasted or ground into flour.

Dichondra is often used as a lawn substitute, as it grows well in full sun and requires little maintenance. This makes it an ideal choice for gardeners who want a low maintenance, drought-tolerant lawn. The plant also helps with soil erosion, as it forms a dense mat that helps to hold soil particles in place.

Dichondra can also be used as an ornamental garden plant. Its small size and spreading habit make it perfect for use in rock gardens, container gardens, and hanging baskets. The plant is also a great choice for areas where regular mowing is difficult, such as slopes and embankments.

Overall, Dichondra is an easy to care for and beautiful plant that can add interest and texture to any garden. Whether used as a lawn substitute, ornamental plant, or food source, Dichondra is a great choice for any gardener.
