SOIL Temperature for Germination: 70-75F. Planting Depth: 1/4". Sprout seeds in small containers, preferably 4" or smaller. In-ground germination is not recommended. Use a standard potting mix that is well drained. Soil should be kept consistently warm, from 70-85F. Cool soils, below about 60-65F, even just at night, will significantly delay or inhibit germination. Additionally, overly warm soils, well above 90F, can inhibit germination and provide ideal conditions for seed rot.

2. The seeds of the Carnation are a type of nut, called a carna nut. These nuts are small and round, with a hard, crunchy texture. They have a rich, nutty flavor and are often used in baking and cooking. They can also be eaten raw or added to salads and other dishes.

3. The leaves of the Carnation are long and narrow, with a deep green color. The leaves are edible and can be used in salads, soups, and other dishes. They have a slightly bitter taste and are high in antioxidants.

4. The stems of the Carnation are strong and sturdy, making them a great choice for flower arrangements. They are also great for making wreaths or bouquets. They are easy to care for and require minimal maintenance.

5. The flowers of the Carnation are a perfect way to add a touch of beauty and elegance to any occasion. The petals are soft and delicate, with a sweet scent that is calming and soothing. They are a beautiful addition to any garden or home decor.
