The petunia is a fast-growing annual plant, typically reaching heights of up to 60cm. It is relatively easy to care for, requiring minimal pruning and only occasional watering to keep it healthy. The petunia is an ideal choice for gardeners who want an attractive show of color in their garden without much maintenance.

Petunia flowers have a distinctively shaped petal, which is often referred to as a ‘trumpet’. These petals open up to reveal a star-like centre, with the petals radiating outwards like rays of sunshine. Petunia flowers are pollinated by bees and other insects, and can often be seen in full bloom during the summer months.

Petunia plants are also known for their long-lasting blooms. The flowers of the Grandiflora petunia can last up to 8 weeks, while other varieties can last up to 12 weeks. This makes the petunia an ideal choice for gardeners who want to enjoy their blooms for an extended period of time.

Petunias make a great addition to any garden, and are sure to bring a splash of vibrant color to any outdoor space. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant show of color or simply want to add an eye-catching accent to your garden, the petunia is sure to make a beautiful addition to your garden.
